Welcome to Health Administration 315: Health and Community Development, a course where you will experience theory and practice combined as praxis. The intent behind our course design is to model participatory action research methods in the application and integration of community development principles into primary health care and related contexts of human and community services.
Before beginning your studies, take time to read through the Course Information as it contains a brief description of the course, learning outcomes, and recommended study methods.
The Study Guide is the main body of the course; it comprises the eight course units, each of which contains an overview and learning outcomes. Each unit is further divided into segments, with each segment addressing a specific topic through written commentaries, reading and viewing assignments, and journal activities. Reading assignments derive from two main sources: the course textbook and selected readings from academic books and scholarly journals. The Study Guide units direct you regarding what to read and study, and in what order.
Guests have access to all the course materials on this site, but if you wish to engage in the discussion forums you must create your own free account. To do this, use the login link at the top of this page.
